Commissions
FAQ
When are your commission open?
I have 5 commissions slot each month and are taken on a first come first serve basis. They open on the 1st - 5th of each month or until full (whichever comes first). Some months they fill fast so it's best to get the request in early. These commissions can be for a new design or remakes of past sets.
How can I tell if your commissions are full for the month?
See above or check the announcements section on the HOME PAGE to see if this months commissions are full. If they are closed it will read something like "Commissions: Closed/[Current Month]" - if it reads anything other than that chances are they are open and I forgot or haven't had a chance to update it. I try to be very good about keeping it up to date but sometimes I forget or am not fast enough before they're full.
What happens if I am request 6+?
I am just one person trying to stay organized and run a (very) small business. Unfortunately I cannot keep a running list for extra commissions. So, if you miss the first week or I'm full up, you are more than welcome to reach out again the next month!
What kind of designs/commissions do you offer?
For commissions I offer both remakes as well as custom designs based around characters, color schemes, etc . I can do full sets, full sets with extra dice, single dice or small sets of specific dice (ex. 3d6, 2d20, d100s etc). Please see my Instagram for a 'gallery' of past sets. Just contact me and let me know if you are looking for a remake (if so which design you wanted) or a custom set (in which case I will send you a google form to fill out - see How do custom designs work section below)
Is there anything you wont do for commissions?
Yes.
- No printed inclusions - While I do have a printer, it's very finicky and as such I wont do any designs that require me to print inclusions or new masters.
- Emphasis on no new master dice: Things with logos or very specific imagery require a ton of work to model, print, mold etc. They often shut my whole work room down during each stage of the process. It's just not something I am willing to commit to while trying to juggle commissions alongside restocking my shop.
- No custom made Stained Glass designs: This goes with the point above about new masters, but I know they are popular so I'll head this off here. I'm happy to try and work an idea within the masters/molds that I have (which are currently limited to 2 designs). I also have no intention of doing full sets of stained glass dice, I only have d20s.
- Other no nos for me are Dried flowers/plants, liquid cores, and petri style pours. They refuse to work with me so I dont work with them haha!
In conclusion, please know that I may have to turn certain requests down if you are looking for a technique/insert that I am unfamiliar with.
How much do your commissions cost?
This is a tricky one to answer in a FAQ because each commission will be different. A direct remake will always be the same as the advertised set price. No extra cost for those unless there are any changes wanted. As for custom dice this will depend on complexity of design, steps to achieve the right look and alt shapes/sized. Most of my custom dice sets range from ~ $130-250
How do custom designs work?
If you're looking for a character based set, let me know in the initial email. I have a google form I will email you to learn a bit more about your character and the things you might want to see in the design. Once that's filled out, I'll take a few days to put together some options in different price ranges for you to look over. Then we can discuss what you like/dont like, want added/taken away. Once I have a direction to go I will set up a custom listing for you and email you the link. Once payment goes through I will get started on your set and keep you updated with photos as I go.
How long does it take to get my commissioned dice?
From start to finish most of my commissions take between 1-2 weeks to get in the mail. Much of this time is spent discussing designs and ideas. For remakes, those are faster because this communication step is mostly eliminated. Sometimes it can take up to 1 month depending on the complexity of the order, but this is very very rare.
